Olga Pashchenko
Child prodigy Olga Pashchenko, born in 1986, gave her debut piano recital at the age of 9 in New York. Ever since, she has been enhancing her keyboard playing with the active practice of the harpsichord, the fortepiano and even the organ, not shying from using them in a same performance. Her repertoire goes from Bach’s Goldberg Variations to include 20th century composers such as Paul Hindemith and Giorgi Ligeti.
Jed Wentz
Jed Wentz is a flutist, conductor and specialist in historical gesture. He received a Bachelor of Music degree from Oberlin Conservatory, a Master degree from the Royal onservatory in The Hague and his doctorate from Leiden University. He currently teaches at the Conservatories of Amsterdam and The Hague as well as at Leiden University, where he is assistance professor at the Academy of Creative and Performing Arts. He is artistic advisor to the Utrecht Early Music Festival.
Der Golem wie er in die Welt kam (1920) is acknowledged as one of the masterpieces of Weimar cinema. Directed by Paul Wegener, who also played the starring role, it is known for its spectacular Expressionist sets and acting styles. It tells the story of the persecution of the Jewish community in Medieval Prague, and their salvation by Rabbi Löw and his creation, the miraculous magical monster known as the golem.
